The 2018-2019 academic year as truly been one for the books for the Student Government Association. As the year has come to a close, I wanted to take the opportunity to reflect on some of what we have accomplished throughout this year and acknowledge our areas of growth and improvement.

With the recent events that have occurred on Emerson’s campus concerning Title IX and the college’s handling of violations with the sexual misconduct policy, we, as the SGA Executive Board, wanted to take an opportunity to update you on some of the work that we have been doing this semester.

Last week on April 3 & 4, SGA held elections to elect officers for the 2019-2020 Academic Year. There were also a number of constitutional amendments put on the ballot for a vote as well as voting for each class for Voice Your Choice - Student Access.

We are exploring a temporary non-­recognized appeal request process as an interim funding opportunity for organizations whose plans were altered. Non-­recognized organizations should keep in mind that all regular appeal request stipulations apply. This request is not a budget, and should be limited to covering the costs of one event, trip, or project.
