Bushe Wang

Marketing Communication

Class of 2028

Hello everyone! I’m Noah Bushe Wang. Marketing Communication major, Class of 2028. I’m a fashion critic & blogger, an ad designer and a marketing associate. I’m dedicate to improve the welfare for all human beings and I’m passionate about exploring the intersection of different cultures and studying the business and cultural logic behind fashion. I formed the “Gender Equality and Communication Community” at my high school and led a successful student protest against the school’s gender segregation policy. This led to my election as high school student council president. During my tenure, I ditched the school's old boring events, solicited in 50,000 RMB (about $7,100 USD) in commercial sponsorships for school events and organized 2 large dinners, 2 concerts, and 4 on-campus events. Out of the school, in the past three years, the studio I founded called “Wanli Studio” has designed 3 campaigns for Givenchy, 3 campaigns for Bottega Veneta, 1 campaign for Chaumet Paris and collaborated 8 campaigns with other brands. With the money I earned, I funded a march for the rights of the LGBTQ+ in the United States through an organization called OutRight International in June. I’ve also been investigating for a long time with CRRC’s General Manager, Mr. Wang Lin, about new discoveries in marketing and sales, which I just want to mention because I suddenly found out that the Orange-Line subway in Boston was built by this company. It’s really interesting to fight for the student body, and I think that’s what I’m supposed to do, stand up and be a voice for people, and that’s where I find meaning of my life.

Georgia Winn

Political Communication

Class of 2026

I’m running for President alongside Angus Abercrombie because Emerson students deserve a Student Government that ensures they don’t fight alone. I know that demanding change can sometimes feel like screaming into a void—I want SGA to be a place where your concerns don’t just echo, but lead to tangible results. The best part about Emerson is the drive and passion of its students, and we are better for it when we have a student government that uplifts that energy. For the last year, I’ve served as Chief Justice of SGA, where I spearheaded a comprehensive Constitutional overhaul and ensured that a committee to review the College’s conduct policies remained in place following the brutal arrests of our friends and community members. As President, I will fill these positions and make sure that student voices are at the center of policy reform. Over the past year, we have built direct lines of communication with administrators to ensure that student voices are impossible to ignore—especially when the conversations are uncomfortable. Too often, student concerns are dismissed or buried in bureaucracy—I will work to change that by making SGA a more accessible organization. As President, I will create more opportunities for direct engagement with the student body whether establishing town halls, placing passionate students on administrative and faculty committees, or continuing the tradition of monthly Beacon columns, I want to make it easier for every Emerson student to make their voice heard. We know we can’t take our foot off the gas; Emerson hasn’t achieved equity just by putting it in a pamphlet. Real change requires action, accountability, and an unwavering commitment to pushing this institution forward—even when it challenges the status quo. Together, we can build an SGA that fights for you. Let’s make it happen.

Executive Vice President

Angus Abercrombie

Political Communication

Class of 2026

I’m running for Vice President alongside Georgia Winn because we can’t afford to take our foot off of the gas. I’ve been part of SGA for two years and we’ve come a long way in that time. We’ve reformed procedures, recruited new passionate leaders, and built connections with many different communities on campus. Next year, we will have our best opportunity to shift our focus from rebuilding to delivering for our students. We cannot start from scratch. Improving transparency is my number one goal at SGA. Last Spring, I pushed to form a committee of students to review the College’s conduct policies. It was officially created shortly after the March 22nd arrests, but the five seats have never been filled. I will fill that committee. This school thrives on the passion and expression of our students. Protecting and uplifting student activists is key to SGA’s work. I was proud to provide space for student testimony the day after the encampment was brutally cleared last Spring as SGA took up my resolution calling for the college president’s resignation. I’m in my third year working on SGA’s treasury team. We’ve worked to streamline our budget process and better support student orgs, but there’s a lot more that needs to be done. We need a budget process that reflects the values of our community and encourages student input. I will work with our treasury department to make that happen. I’m asking for your vote because I believe that the work of SGA, bridging the gap between students and administration, uplifting student activists, and streamlining our own process so we can focus more on the values of our community than the rules in a google doc, is not done. I look forward to supporting Georgia’s mission to make Emerson the best it can be.

Charlotte Cocozza

Media Studies

Class of 2027

Hello! My name is Charlotte Cocozza, and I am a media studies major graduating with the class of 2027. I have various interests, including singing, acting, LGBTQ+ rights, women’s rights, and travel. Although I have only spent one semester on SGA’s Student Experience Senate, I found it incredibly fulfilling to gather with other students who care about the Emerson community as much as I do and make real change. I am running for vice president because I want to ensure that every student on campus feels they have a place at Emerson. In such an uncertain and polarizing time, students affected by the banning of DEI programs and harsh immigration laws must be protected. To ensure this, I would open the conversation by inviting all students and faculty to share their various perspectives at SGA’s weekly general assembly and potentially hold open forums to make sure that students have a voice. I also hope to foster community at Emerson by hosting more events and utilizing the spaces our college has to offer. As vice president, I would have the pleasure of working with SGA’s senators to create and execute their action projects, which provide a way for the Senate to implement change, both big and small. Finally, I hope to act as a bridge between the student body and faculty. Emerson is filled with so many incredible educators and advisors who want to connect with students to bring about meaningful development. I chose to come to Emerson, hoping it would be the right place for me. Not only has it delivered on that, but it’s also become a home that I care very much about, and it would be an honor to serve as vice president. Thank you for your consideration, and please feel free to reach out with any questions!

Riley Simson

Communication Studies

Class of 2027

Hi! My name is Riley Simson, and I’m interested in being the Communications Studies Senator. I’m currently a sophomore at Emerson, and I deeply value the close-knit community and creative spirit that define our school. The Emerson community has been essential to my growth, as I’ve learned so much about myself and the career I hope to build, especially earlier this year when I switched my major to Communications Studies. Since becoming a part of this program, I have been incredibly fulfilled, thanks to both the coursework and the inspiring faculty I’ve worked with. This fulfillment has inspired me to run for Communications Studies Senator, as I hope to further strengthen our community, creating opportunities for students to thrive both academically and personally. I truly believe in the power of student voices, and I’m eager to represent the interests of my peers to help improve the student experience for everyone in the Communications Studies program.

Maxwell Brady-Lewis

Public Relations

Class of 2027

Hello everyone, My name is Max, and I am currently a sophomore at Emerson College. If elected for the 2025-2026 academic year, I will be a junior. I am majoring in Public Relations with a minor in Pre-Law. Throughout my time at Emerson, I have been actively involved in several on-campus organizations. In Fall 2024, I served as the Social Media Chair for Emerson’s PRSSA Chapter and as the PR Chair for Zeta Phi Eta. Currently, I am studying abroad at Kasteel Well, an experience that has been both enriching and fulfilling. Due to this opportunity, I made the decision to step away from my leadership roles, including serving as the PR Academic Senator for the Spring 2025 semester. However, my passion for leadership and advocacy has led me to run for Communications Studies Senator. My motivations stem from my desire to reconnect with my peers in shaping key decisions that impact the entire Emerson community. More importantly, I want to serve as a dedicated representative for the Communication Studies department, which encompasses Public Relations. My prior experience as an Academic Senator has equipped me with essential skills in collaboration, time management, and communication, ensuring that I can effectively advocate for the needs of my constituents. If elected, I will prioritize meeting with faculty and students within the Communication Studies department to assess what is working well and identify areas for improvement. My goal is to implement initiatives that will help my peers feel fully supported in their academic and professional pursuits. Thank you for your time and consideration. I hope to earn your support as the next Communication Studies Senator!

Class of 2027

Hi everyone! My name is Jackie and I'm running for re-election as Marketing Communications Senator. I'm a sophomore Marketing Communications major and I'm involved in lots of groups on campus including Emerson Dance Company, Delta Kappa Alpha, and EC Agency. As MK senator, I have made strong efforts to get student voices heard by the department and faculty. Currently, I’m conducting research on student interests for level 300 marketing electives to ensure that next semester’s course offerings are tailored to the current student body’s preferences and needs. In the broader sense, as a voting member of SGA, I want to make sure that all students' voices are represented. I strive to make it clear to my peers that they can come to me with their views, concerns, and opinions, and I will make sure that they will be heard, regardless of whether or not it is a belief that I agree with or hold myself. Thank you!

Visual Media Arts Senator

Carlson Jones

Class of 2026

Hello! I’m Carlson, and I’m excited to run for re-election as Visual Media Arts Senator. This year, I’ve had the privilege of serving as your senator this ‘24-25 term, and I’ve been dedicated to representing our creative community. I’ve worked hard to ensure that our voices are heard, our needs are met, and our creative work is supported, but there's still more to be done. If re-elected, I will continue to fight for your voices and ensure that we continue to move forward as a unified, thriving visual media arts community. As a passionate filmmaker, I understand the unique challenges we face in the field, whether it’s accessing resources, promoting diverse film perspectives, or advocating for more opportunities for collaboration. I am committed to fostering an environment where all filmmakers, regardless of experience level, feel supported and empowered to bring their visions to life. In the coming year, I aim to push for more film screenings and events to showcase student work, and promote learning about and screening more diverse works that reflect a wide range of voices and experiences. I also plan to advocate for mental health resources tailored specifically for creatives, recognizing the unique challenges we face. Above all, I want to continue being a voice for YOU. Together, we can build a more connected, inclusive, and supportive film community on campus. Thank you for your time, and I’d be honored to continue serving you as your Visual Media Arts Senator!

Chris Gao

Media Arts Production

Class of 2028

Make Emerson a Home Where Every Voice Resonates. Dear Emersonians, I’m Chris Gao, a freshman in VMA, an international, Asian student and diversity supporter with pride, a pragmatic problem-solver who navigated a 48-hour film festival crew funding crisis, a whistleblower who exposed robotics competition fraud, and Hult Prize winning founder of the East China Division of Future Science Scholars Organization. I’m running for 2028 Student Government President/Vice President/Secretary not to craft lofty promises, but to systematically address our shared frustrations: inconsistent policies, inefficient feedback systems, and hidden inequities in diversity practices. When I protested competition cheating years ago, I was threatened with disqualification. In high school, I gathered evidence to confront teacher favoritism. These experiences taught me that fairness requires proactive safeguards, procedures need critics to constantly challenge complacency, and leadership demands calculated boundary-pushing to drive meaningful integration. Emerson doesn’t need another dreamer—it needs a doer who reads work order reports, negotiates contract clauses, and confronts broken systems. The time has come for someone to stand up for student well-being as the ultimate benchmark. Through my three-pillar action plan, I will: Standardize operations with transparent protocols Optimize feedback loops through tech-driven solutions Embed equity checks in every policy rollout (honed through my diversity battles). Vote for me to rebuild Emerson with clear processes, accountable leadership, and unshakable empathy. Chris Gao "Systems should serve students, not shackle spirits."

Writing, Literature and Publishing Senator

Caroline White

Writing, Literature & Publishing

Class of 2025

Hello, Emersonians! I’m Caroline White, a third-year WLP student eager to increase the accessibility of resources across our campus and the WLP department. I’ve served as the WLP Senator in SGA during the 2024-2025 Academic Year, and I hope to continue serving our department for my final semester, the Fall 2025 semester, to create a third space for writers that will promote creativity! I believe that students can thrive in an environment that is accessible, comforting, and reliable. My goal is to begin with increasing accessibility to resources and facilities in our department, and furthering this to all of Emerson! I’ve been working alongside the School of the Arts Dean on her advisory council to increase accessibility, and discussing with department members how Student Government can be of help to our community. I also serve as Social Media and Outreach Manager for the Emerson Poetry Project and as the Vice President of the Emerson Cheerleading Squad! As a poet, I know each space in a piece holds so much weight, and understand this mirrors how each member of our department deserves to be heard and is essential to our Emerson community. I’d love the opportunity to continue to collaborate with SGA and the Emerson community again!

Class of 2026 President

Lauren Wiedenmann

Business of Creative Enterprises

Class of 2026

Hi everyone! My name is Lauren Wiedenmann, and I’m a Business of Creative Enterprises major. Since sophomore year, I’ve had the honor of serving as Class Council President, and I’m thrilled to be running again. Since the beginning of my time serving, our Class Council has worked to make student organizations more accessible, including collaborating with disability coordinators to help student orgs implement the same accommodations available in classrooms, particularly in student theater. Over time, we’ve expanded from just 3 e-board members to a team of 12, ensuring that more voices are heard and that we can take on larger initiatives, like planning Senior Week. I’m super excited to see how this new organizational structure strengthens our initiatives in the coming year. This year, I have the honor of running alongside Anastasia Petridis as my Vice President, and together, we’re ready to take on the planning of Senior Week. Beyond Class Council, I serve as a co-head of the Honors Mentorship Program, Assistant General Manager of BlueJay Theatre Collective, and I’m consistently involved in student productions – whether performing, directing, assistant directing, stage managing, or working on scenic and props design. With my leadership experience and involvement in student life, I’m committed to making sure every student’s voice is heard and that we create opportunities for our class to engage in community. I’d love your support in making this year the best one yet!

Class of 2026 Vice President

Anastasia Petridis

Journalism

Class of 2026

Hi, I’m Anastasia! I’m majoring in journalism, minoring in pre-law, and I am currently serving as the vice president of the junior class council. One of my main goals as your vice president is to encourage more engagement within our class. I want us to remember why we chose to go to Emerson and to rebuild that community! As your current vice president, I have the responsibility of helping our president allocate funds, sponsor SGA events, and create connections with our peers. So far, I’ve had the pleasure of beginning to plan multiple fun events to make our senior year unforgettable, including our Senior Week in May 2026, where we will have various awesome activities for the senior class to celebrate our graduation. I am running for vice president in order to continue achieving these goals and to make our Senior Week the best it can be!

Class of 2026 Secretary

Addison Winter

Communication Studies

Class of 2026

I'm Addie, a third year Comm Studies major with a minor in Marketing. I'm running again for Class of 2026 Secretary because I love how creative and unique our class is and I want to make sure that energy is reflected in everything we do — especially our senior week. We deserve a celebration that represents all of us. I want to make sure every voice is heard, every interest is considered, and that our final days together actually feel like ours!

Ocean Muir is running for the office of Class of 2026 Secretary.

Class of 2027 President

Riley Miller

Interdisciplinary Studies

Class of 2027

My name is Riley and I am an Interdisciplinary Studies major! I am involved in a multitude of organizations on campus, including Alpha Epsilon Phi, Emerson Independent Video, PODS, and I also work in New Student Orientation as an Orientation Coordinator. I am running for Class of 2027 President as I held the role during the 2023-2024 academic year, and enjoyed planning events that the entire class could enjoy. But moving forward, I want to be more involved in conversations with SGA as a whole, making sure that I can be a voice for the entire class. I also want to continue planning events, but involve the opinions of any members of the class who have ideas for things involving philanthropy events, bonding events, or new initiatives on campus that can better the class or Emerson’s campus as a whole.

Levi Armstrong

Political Communication

Class of 2027

Greetings, class of 2027! Happy junior year! My name is Levi Armstrong, I had the pleasure of serving as class president this past year, and I’m asking for your vote to be re-elected to this position again for the following school year. This next year is pivotal for our success. It’s our halfway mark as college students, so it’s pivotal that we make every second, and every decision counts for the rest of our time at Emerson. That being said, here are some of the following areas I would like to improve at Emerson. First, I think that the Student Government Association needs to be more accessible. Before my time as president, I honestly didn’t even know that it existed. I want it to be more known to our student body that the SGA is available to listen to your concerns, and follow through. I also want to make a more direct line of communication between administration and the Emerson student body. The majority of my problems with administration is that they simply don’t take the time to listen to our concerns, and hear how we feel Emerson could be better. I can commit to changing it so that those in charge will loudly hear how we want Emerson to change. There are many things to fix at Emerson, but many great things too. If elected, I will bring positive change to the Emerson campus, while continuing to uphold the many great aspects that make us the perfectly unique school we are.

Class of 2028 President

Sophia Jade Kong

Media Arts Production

Class of 2028

Nice to meet you again! I’m Sophia-Jade Kong (she/he/they), running for SGA President with Isha this year. After serving as your Vice President, I’ve gained a deeper understanding of our collective journey at Emerson, and I’m eager to continue enhancing our community experience. This year, Isha and I aim to enhance our foundation by focusing on career development and integrating into clubs, which are crucial as we navigate our sophomore year. We plan to expand career and resume workshops, introduce networking events, and facilitate easier club involvement—tailored to our diverse experiences. We remain committed to fostering a supportive, connected environment. Our new initiatives will prioritize career preparation and offer engaging events that celebrate our diverse cultures while helping us grow professionally. With a year of experience, we know what works and what doesn’t. We're here to listen, advocate, and implement your desired changes, ensuring Emerson is not just a school but a home(as always) AND a stepping stone to our future.

Class of 2028 Vice President

Ishwarya Krishna

Media Arts Production

Class of 2028

Hi I’m Ishwarya Krishna, but most people call me Isha. This year I’m running as Vice President for the SGA alongside Sophia-Jade Kong! The past year has been a frenzy for Freshmen—I know it was for me. From getting accustomed to our new surroundings, to reconstructing our social networks, we have had a lot on our plate. Our campaign builds off of the current Freshman SGA; to empower and unify our diverse communities, especially amongst BIPOC, first-gen, and international students. But, as Sophomores, we have new challenges. Hence, we want to expand our goal; in the next fiscal year, we aim to focus on providing more opportunities for our cohort to expand their career path. With Emerson College’s specialized arts education, we are paying to get ample opportunities to successfully enter our industries. We want to push these efforts even further. From networking events to workshops, we want to integrate careers into our community-focused goals. Of course we will still organize karaoke and movie nights, but we also want to open up spaces for more complex discussions. With these new goals, the Class of 2028 will continue to flourish as a community and, hopefully, in our career development as well. Emerson is where our dreams become goals, and we want to help you on the way to success!

Make Emerson a Home Where Every Voice Resonates Dear Emersonians, I’m Chris Gao, a freshman in VMA, an international, Asian student and diversity supporter with pride, a pragmatic problem-solver who navigated a 48-hour film festival crew funding crisis, a whistleblower who exposed robotics competition fraud, and Hult Prize winning founder of the East China Division of Future Science Scholars Organization.
