Land Acknowledgment

Emerson’s Student Goverment Association acknowledges the sacred land where we work, live, learn, and build community. This land, home to Massachusett people who live here today as they have for 13,000 years.

This is the ancestral and unceded lands of the Massachusett people, whose name was appropriated by this Commonwealth. We acknowledge the truth of violence perpetrated in the name of this country and make a commitment to uncovering that truth.

Today, Boston is also home to thousands of Indigenous people and we are grateful to have the opportunity to live and work here.
